The Last Hour of Summer

Peter Lucas, creative producer for Hooligan Sparrow’ that opened and won Sundance and was pre-screened for the Best Documentary Oscar of 2017, will direct “THE LAST TIME OF SUMMER” with Red Earth.

Based on a collection of photographs by an unknown genius photographer, Orizon Carneiro Muniz, who documented the girls from Ipanema in the years leading up to the military coup in 1964. Peter found his photos at a flea market after being dumped in the trash by a janitor after the photographer died. With no relatives and no recognition of his talent during his lifetime, these pictures could have disappeared if Peter had not followed paths to find out who his author was.

The documentary, courted by Canal Brasil, will follow the search for women appearing in 5000 photos and rolls of undisclosed negatives to find out who Orizon Carneiro Muniz really was.
